I dreamed I was on a college campus with my mom. We were picking things up. We were walking to different places on campus. Being there had a neat, exciting feeling, and it was nice being with Mom, but on occasion we got a little irritated with each other. At one point, I was in a crowded room. I coughed. A woman messaged someone on an intercom and said someone was sick. They brought me a mask. I wasn't sick and it mildly irritated me, but then I understood. I would have felt the same way in her shoes. She didn't know I wasn't sick. Later, I found Mom in a room going through lots of things. She said it was taking longer than expected. I looked at all her things she had there. There were lots of my things. She asked if it was what I was looking for. I said it was the most sentimental and most important of all the things I was looking for. I started going through boxes, so excited to see things from my past. Things I'd forgot about and was so happy I still had. Over close to us, were lots of showers. In fact, we may have been in a large women's locker room of sorts. I was really happy to have my things back. I let her know it was going to be a bigger chore for me as well, because I definitely wanted to get all of these things. As I was looking through everything, and then as we were walking through campus again, figuring out how to move the items, I realized I really liked this campus and wanted to attend school here. In the dream it was a college campus in Georgia, and it had purple in its colors, maybe purple and white. Mom said she also wanted to go or did go to school here. I was excited to register and get started.
Dreams are deeply personal, and interpretations can vary based on individual experiences and emotions. However, here's a general interpretation of the dream you described:
College Campus Setting: Being on a college campus often symbolizes a place of learning and new beginnings. It suggests that you might be on the verge of a new phase in your life, ready to learn or embark on new adventures.
Presence of Your Mother: Having your mother with you in the dream can represent guidance, support, and a connection to your roots. It seems like you're appreciating her presence and support, even if there are occasional moments of irritation. This could reflect your real-life relationship dynamics.
Searching and Finding Sentimental Items: The process of picking things up and going through boxes filled with sentimental items suggests introspection. You may be reflecting on your past, assessing what is valuable to you, and reconnecting with aspects of your identity or memories that you might have forgotten. It indicates a desire to hold onto important parts of your past as you move forward.
Crowded Room and Mask Incident: The incident where you cough and are given a mask points to themes of misunderstanding and empathy. Initially feeling misunderstood could relate to real-life situations where you feel judged or misinterpreted. The understanding you eventually feel might show growth, empathy, and your willingness to see situations from others' perspectives.
Excitement About the Campus and Registering: This excitement suggests that you are eager for new opportunities and experiences. It shows optimism and a readiness to embrace the future. The fact that it is a campus in Georgia with purple colors might have personal significance or could symbolize a specific aspiration or goal you've set for yourself.
Showers in the Locker Room: The presence of showers might symbolize cleansing, renewal, or the idea of refreshing and preparing yourself for new beginnings. It could also symbolize vulnerability as locker rooms are places where you might feel more exposed.
Mother's Comment About Wanting or Having Gone to the Same School: This could imply a shared dream or path with your mother, highlighting familial bonds and possibly a desire for approval or to follow in her footsteps.
Overall, this dream reflects a blending of past reflections and future aspirations, accompanied by the underlying support from family, symbolized by your mother. It's a positive indication of readiness to tackle new challenges while cherishing and valuing the important pieces of your past.
